Lighting Solutions for your Home Office

Shop for all your home office lighting here!

When lighting a home office, you will want to create a comfortable environment that is free of harsh contrasts and distracting glare. You will need task lighting for reading, writing, and computer work, and general lighting for the surrounding area.

A table lamp will provide additional light to the desk and keyboard areas. Position the lamp so it is not reflected in the computer screen.

Two large ceiling fixtures, containing energy-efficient fluorescent tubes, will provide plenty of well-diffused general lighting, while eliminating shadows on the desk. Place the fixtures over head and to the right and left of the desk so the light comes over the shoulder. Lighting placed in front of a desk will cause troublesome reflections.

Floor Lamps
Reading, knitting, crossword puzzles all require task lighting that comes from behind the reader's shoulder. This can be accomplished by placing a floor lamp either at the right or the left of the reading chair. The bottom of the shade should be located at eye level to avoid glare. View  floor lamps  here.

Desk Lamp
A desk lamp offers direct task lighting for reading, computer and paper work. Desk lamps provide the need functionality in a focused area. View our  desk lamps  here.

Portable Lamp
A portable table lamp will add plenty of light on the desk and keyboard areas. Our unique table lamps add a warm human touch to your office. Table lamps offer task lighting and accent lighting with a soft human touch. View our  table lamps  and  floor lamps  here.

Recessed Down Lights
Great for enhancing textures. Low voltage recessed lighting is ideal for creating a splash of light on your bar, island, pool table or mantle. View our  recessed down lights  here.

Track Lighting
Halogen loaded track lights are more dramatic and give a brilliant white light, but require several fixtures to avoid shadows over a desk. Highlight pictures, mementos, professional certificates, or an attractive plant with track lighting. View our  track lighting  here.

Close to Ceiling
Try two close to ceiling fixtures containing energy-efficient fluorescent tubes. Fluorescent lighting will provide plenty of well-diffused general lighting while eliminating shadows on the desk. View our  close to ceiling fixtures  here.

Cove Lights
Set your living room off with a warm inviting glow of light. Add a new dimension to your home today. View our  linear lighting systems  and lamp holders here.

Under Cabinet
Available in slim, energy-efficient fluorescents, miniature track lights, low-voltage disks or low-voltage linear systems, under cabinet lighting quickly and easily lights your credenza or bookcase. View our  under cabinet lights  here.

Ceiling Fans
Choose a lighting kit for your ceiling fans that allows general lighting or accent lighting. Add a remote control for quick changes in illumination and fan speed. Indirect or directional light kits provide task lighting as well as general lighting. View our  ceiling fans  here..
